Founded in 1980, Microtek International, Inc. is headquartered in Science-based Industry Park in Hsinchu, Taiwan. MICROTEK has grown from a small start-up team to a multi-national company with a well-established distribution and global service network.
MICROTEK has been producing innovative scanning solutions for over two decades, and still continues to make technology breakthroughs in scanning solutions. Therefore, MICROTEK is proud to lay claim to a number of industry firsts since the world's first 300-dpi black-and-white sheet-fed scanner in 1985. Holding over 400 patents worldwide, Microtek remains to dedicate over 15% of staff and over 6% of revenues to R&D of next-generation digital imaging solutions. Additionally, now Microtek has broadened the product line to PDP/LCD Display to expand on its position as a leading provider of digital imaging input/ output devices.
